Description

Shor Park is 56 acres located at Tealtown Road in Milford, Ohio.

Shor Park features three walking trails winding through the many open fields on the property. Summer is the perfect time to watch birds and butterflies inhabiting the property. Many of the fields flood in the spring, providing an excellent habitat for chorus frogs, spring peepers and American toads. In 2019, The Park District dedicated new facilities at Shor – two horse-themed picnic shelters, restrooms, storage space, a wind turbine and the county’s first certified inclusive playground.

Wetland Restoration
The Park District completed a Wetland Restoration Project with restored 10 acres of wetland habitat along Tealtown Road. The wetlands are crucial not only to providing a habitat for native wildlife, but also to protecting and improving water quality within the East Fork watershed. As part of the restoration effort, invasive plants like autumn olive and callery pear trees were removed with native wetland plants planted in their place. Visitors can learn more about the project by walking the wetlands and reading the interpretive signs along the trail.
