Description

The trails are located at 617 East Gillespie Road, Augusta, KY 41002 just off of Route 9 (AA Highway)!

The trails are the first part of the creation of a county park area, as a recreation destination for a variety of visitors. Currently the trails wrap around rolling wooded hills, lakes and agricultural plots for 20 miles. There are also two fishing lakes known as Big Bass Lake (catch and release only) and Beaver Lake (abide by KY fishing regulations and you can keep Bass 15" or larger) that are open to the public. A valid Kentucky fishing license is required to fish there. It is FREE to hike and fish at the trail system, although there is a low $5 fee per day for horseback riding to offset the park upkeep. Annual and daily Horseback Riding passes are available.

There are no motorized vehicles allowed on the trails as well as bicycles. Also, there is no alcohol permitted and pets must be kept on a leash. The park is open from April 1 through Oct. 31 during daylight hours. Make sure you get out and enjoy the great outdoors.
